PRODUCER'S PROFILE
PROUD OF A MILLENARY TECHNIQUE
Our coffee growers have technical and artistic skills in their hands. They own ancient wisdom, and they pour it into their work every day. We carry out agricultural practices that meet the highest ecological and social standards. This ancient knowledge is the legacy of at least four generations of families dedicated to coffee cultivation, especially in the Cajamarca region, a proud pioneer of organic coffee production in Peru.
KNOWLEDGE
Our coffee growers have access to the technology and training necessary for the proper technical management of planting, harvesting and post-harvesting. This includes the adaptation of crops to climate change, with sustainable farms that reduce the loss of biodiversity. At the end of the day, we have full commitment to the land.
GEOGRAPHY
The coffee growing lands of Yakumama are located in the departments of Cajamarca and Amazonas, between 1550 to more than 2000 meters above sea level. These are two of the regions with the highest coffee production in Peru.
Thanks to products such as coffee, our members have begun to take off towards sustained development, taking advantage of the greatest of their riches: their people.
We are the energy that is born in our lands and reaches the buyers, as a result of the union and the organized work of more than 1320 coffee growers from diverse zones, forming a great community of cooperatives with a single objective: to offer the best specialty coffees to the world.

Gallito de las Rocas
HISTORY
On December 4, 2012, 260 coffee growers founded Gallito de las Rocas, a name that refers to the natural emblem of the people, to respect and uniqueness, and to special beauty. They are from the district of Namballe, province of San Ignacio, belonging to the Cajamarca region, which is part of the buffer zone of the Tabaconas Namballe National Sanctuary and the Canchis river basins.
We are talking about a coffee growing tradition that is more than 100 years old and is a direct inheritance from the ancestors of our current members. In addition to being part of our cultural heritage, this knowledge is today our main source of economic income and guarantees the sustainability of our families. For this reason, we carry out our production in harmony with the environment. This is one of our most powerful reasons for working this way.
The producers of Gallito de las Rocas work closely together, just as a family does, which makes us stronger as an organization and allows us to provide secure income for the whole community. Currently, the organization is made up of 279 producers with 550 hectares dedicated to organic coffee cultivation.
MISION
Improve the production and commercialization of our coffee and derivatives until reaching the best standards of excellence in Peruvian coffee.

A powerful aspect characterizes us: we are considered one of the most dynamic cooperatives in Peru, as we are conformed by many young people descending from families with more than two hundred years of coffee tradition. In fact, we have more than 780 hectares of land, of which more than 400 are dedicated to the cultivation of organic coffees of exceptional quality.
PROCECAM stands out for its good agricultural, social and environmental practices. This make possible to offer a high quality coffee that grows in a wide variety of ecological zones that range from 1,200 meters to 1,800 meters above sea level.
Our farms are located in the upper parts of the valley, on the right bank of the Marañon River, where there are springs of virgin waters that are born from natural water cushions and mountains. HISTORY
The Chirinos district, located in the province of San Ignacio, in the department of Cajamarca, is a peaceful district dedicated for years to agriculture. Despite being rich in natural resources, this area has historically been hit by poverty and the indifference of governments. We currently welcome all farmers who voluntarily decide to join us.
Thanks to this opening, as of January of this year the organization already has more than 60 farmers, all dedicated to the production of the best coffee beans.
